Brendan + Gali - Le Meridien, Arlington

Brendan and Gali were married on July 1 with a ceremony and reception at Le Meridien in Arlington.

Everything about this event was chic and sophisticated, just like the grooms. We started the day with getting ready photos of the grooms. Brendan got ready with the bridesmaids, while Gali got ready with the groomsmen. Once everyone was ready, we staged a first look for the happy couple.

Washington DC First Look

The first look captured so much emotion and joy that these two share. Brendan and Gali looked so happy to be together. The sun shone brightly and the sky was an amazing summer blue. We had both the Washington Monument and the Lincoln Memorial as backdrops for their portraits. We took pictures around the national mall, capturing the iconic monuments as well as the happiness shared by the couple. We even did portraits at the Regan National Airport, which provided a unique and interesting architectural backdrop for pictures. After pictures with the bridal party and family, we all headed to Arlington for the ceremony and reception.

The ceremony was outside. Brendan and Gali were both walked down the aisle by their mothers, which we thought was a beautiful gesture. The Maids of Honor were Jennifer and Avelyn. In another sweet gesture, the roles of flower girl and ring bearer were played by the grooms’ treasured Huskies; Trixie and Sitka. It was so sweet the dogs were a part of their special day. After all, they are all one family, now!

At the reception, there were a few memorable moments. The first dance that Brendan and Gali shared was an amazing moment. They looked like the only two people in the world. There were also a few other special dances. Brendan’s parents shared an anniversary dance and it was announced. It was such a romantic moment to see the love they share honored during the reception. Gali’s dance with his mother was very emotional and there wasn’t a dry eye in the room.

Later in the evening, there was a video presentation of photos of the couple through the years. The reactions to this montage were wonderful, especially Gali and Brendan’s reactions!

Overall, everything about this wedding was stylish and well-coordinated. We have to send out a thank you to the team at SaReen Events for planning such a detail orientated wedding. We enjoyed being part of this wedding from the beginning till the end. Brendan and Gali's wedding was very special for us because this was our first gay wedding and we were so happy to be involved.
